I built my career differently than most CPAs. I started at PriceWaterhouseCoopers as an auditor, then spent years at Harold, Madsen & Lefkovits doing tax compliance, financial statement compilations, and business advisory for small and mid-size companies.

From there, I took that experience into the real world - co-founding Cheney & Mathes Properties in 2013, where I led the acquisition and management of a commercial real estate portfolio across the U.S.

Most recently, I served as Director of Operations at Belfort Assets, a Dallas-based real estate investment firm, where I oversaw financial reporting, investor relations, and underwriting.
